Established in the year 1999 after the Asian financial crisis, the G20 summit is a forum where Central Bank Governors and Finance Ministers come together to discuss the world\u2019s financial and economic issues. The global financial and economic crises of 2007 prompted the upgrade of the forum to the level of Heads of State\/Government. In 2009, The Group of 20 was declared the \u201cpremier forum for international economic cooperation\u201d. The summit convenes every year under a rotational presidency. While broad microeconomic issues were the key agenda of G20, over the years, the agenda has evolved into a variety of distinct topics, including health, sustainable development, energy, environment, trade, anti-corruption and climate change. <\/span><\/p>\n\n
