This Valentine’s Day, Love Yourself

The coming of February brings with it a long list of expectations around love. If you’re one half of a couple, you’re caught up in buying flowers and making reservations, all in a grand effort to make your partner feel special. But more often than not, this list of expectations tends to take for granted the purest love of all – the love you have for yourself.

In the midst of work, life and everything that happens in between, we tend to overlook our desires. While pleasing everyone around us, we forget to take a step back and appreciate ourselves. In fact, we put our own needs on a back burner to ensure the happiness of those we love. But what’s the point of love if it doesn’t start with you?

This Valentine’s Day, we’re going to celebrate love the best way we know – inclusive, non-judgmental and most importantly, with you.

The Anti-Valentine Party being held at Kitty Su is a fun, one-of-a-kind celebration of self-love across Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata and New Delhi. Joining hands with American drag artist William Belli, the weeklong drag tour is our way of encouraging you to #BeYourself without any fear, qualms or second thoughts. Apart from being globally renowned for his music video parodies and a myriad of movie and television projects, William is also a commendable author. He released his first book called Suck Less: Where There’s a Willam, There’s a Way in October 2016. In 2017, William also collaborated with Xyrena to release a range of perfumes.

To ensure that you have a truly memorable night, William’s performance is going to be accompanied by a host of entertaining acts including Maya – The Drag Queen, Rani Ko-HE-Nur aka Sushant Divgikar, Gogo & Shower Boys and Betta Non Stop.

So here’s a night dedicated to anyone looking to have a good time, as judgment takes a back seat and self love is brought to centre stage. Put on your party hats and throw on your best clothes to join us in our Anti-Valentine celebration of individuality and diversity. Being one of many of our initiatives to spread #PureLove, the idea is to promote inclusivity at its loving best and add a dash of fun while we’re at it.

No matter whether you’re bitten by the love bug or not, Kitty Su is calling you with open arms to a night filled with copious amounts of fun, freakiness and excitement. As gender, caste, creed, marital status, sexual preference and age cease to matter, are you game to spend a unique Valentine’s Day and #LoveYourself?
