Theatre Konnections ‘ Whats up with Indian men?’ | The LaLiT Ashok, Bangalore

posted in: Uncategorized | 0

Taste and smell, stir up different emotions which remain etched in our memory for long. Exploring the visceral connection between food and theatre, The Lalit Ashok brings to you the fifth edition of Theater Konnection on September 7th, 2013.

Speaking prior to the event, Amit Samson, General Manager, The Lalit Ashok said, “We believe that good food not only enhances the overall experience of the performance by virtue of its taste, it also helps build the cultural context.” To delight the patrons of Theater Konnection, Chef Subodh Goyal has handpicked the selections for the prix fixe menu which include canapés, tandoori salmon tikka with basil, zucchini & cheese samboussek and an assortment of sushi wraps.

It’s a perfect set-up for the discerning food lover who has an artistic bent of mind, as the evening offers the best both worlds – food and theatre. An exquisite buffet spread of Indian, Continental and Pan-Asian cuisines is being coupled with a fun, romantic play on a girl trying to find love in the hybridized Indian social milieu. The play is infused with music and slam poetry which will keep you glued to your seats.

Gourmet Graze is by Chef Subodh Goyal & The Stage by Underdog Entertainment.

About the Play:

The makers of love, sex and mocha present “what’s up with these Indian men”, which is a quirky and fun take on a girl’s journey of trying to find love in the confused, urban Indian society. It brings to the fore the numerous male stereotypes that exist in our society today. Right from the pretentious metro-sexual type to the penny saving Maddu boy to the dowry mongering Reddy boy, the play exposes each one of them in a comical fashion.
